I've studied languages all my life, and so in 2003 I decided to channel my acquired knowledge into freelance translating, turning it into a full-time career within six months. Two years later, I acquired CIOL certification. I mainly focus on Legal and Corporate, but approximately 30% of my work involves copywriting, editing, reviewing and text polishing.

In recent years I have divided my time between the UK and Italy; this keeps me up to date on the language and socioeconomic trends in both countries. I put a lot of effort into maintaining an idiomatic, contemporary writing style. 

Over the years, working mainly with leading UK and Italian translation agencies, I have become specialised in three areas:

LEGAL: regulatory compliance (codes of ethics etc.), notarial deeds, contracts, pleadings, court orders, government decrees and EU legislation.

CORPORATE & COMMERCIAL: auditors' reports, company certificates, register searches, bylaws, financial reports, insurance policies and loss adjusters' reports.

MARKETING & WEB: Powerpoint presentations, sales pitches, press releases and website content.

My past work experience in the high-pressure world of London's legal sector means that I am very used to working under pressure, and can meet requests for 24-48 hour turnarounds without compromising on accuracy or presentation.
