Dans le cadre du présent traité, le Détenteur cède à l’Editeur pour tous les territoires européens le droit d'édition, de publication, de reproduction et de vente de ladite œuvre sous les titres ci-dessus ou tous autres mieux adaptés au marché. De son côté l’Editeur s'engage à assurer la disponibilité de l’œuvre et s'emploiera à lui procurer, par une diffusion dans le public et auprès des tiers susceptibles d'être intéressés, les conditions favorables à leur exploitation sous toutes leurs formes, écrite ou orale, sur support papier, vidéo, audio ou sur support informatique ou électronique, d’une manière générale sur tous supports présents ou à venir.
Article 1
La présente entente est valide pour une durée d’un an à compter de la date de signature. L'entente se renouvellera tacitement pour des périodes d’un an. L'une ou l'autre des parties pourra toutefois y mettre fin après la période initiale d’un an ou après une des périodes de renouvellement d’un an par un avis écrit six mois avant la fin de la période.
Article 2
Les formats, les présentations et les prix de vente de l’œuvre seront déterminés par l’Editeur. Il sera procédé à un premier tirage minimum de 1.000 exemplaires pour chaque livre entrant dans le présent contrat. Le chiffre des tirages suivants sera fixé par l'Editeur qui en informera le Détenteur dans un délai de 30 jours suivant un nouveau tirage.

In consideration of the foregoing contract, the Owner grants, assigns, transfers, and conveys to the Publisher all right to edit, publish, and sell the Work under the titles above referred to, or any others better adapted to the market, within the European territories. The Publisher shall take all routine and customary steps to develop favorable conditions to publish, sell, and otherwise market and distribute the Work in any medium of expression, now known or hereafter developed, including but not limited to written or oral, on paper, sound recording, audiovisual, digital, web based, and electronic support through distribution and display to public generally and to interested third parties.
1- The foregoing agreement shall be effective for one year from the date and year of execution indicated below. The agreement will be automatically renewed for a period of one year. However, if any of the parties wish to terminate the contract, they shall notify the other party in writing after the one year contract is initiated, or after a one year renewal, as the case may be, no later than six months before the end of the respective period.
2- The Publisher will decide the formats, presentations, and the sale price of the work. A minimum of
1,000 copies shall be initially printed for each book covered by the foregoing contract.
For the next impression, the Publisher shall reasonably determine the number of copies to be printed and shall inform Owner within 30 days following a new printing.

First I am a scientist, specialized in immunology and virology.
I worked for the National Institutes of Health for three years, published several articles in international journals.
I also worked for a biotech company based in France as a manager in the US. I translated technical documents for filing application to the FDA, reports, conference posters, user manual for medical device.
My linguist experience covers teaching advanced reading and speaking to American diplomats getting ready to go to a francophone country. Within this particular context, I translated news articles and more specialized documents such as regulations.
Since then I have been working as a contract paralegal for large or medium size law firms in Washington DC.
As a free lance translator, I was the interprete for refugees, I translated scripts for website related to infectious disease, and more recently I translated copyright license from French into English.
