I am a native of France living in the United States and very familiar with both languages and cultures. I have extensive experience in editing, translating, proofreading. My current daytime job for now 13 years is as Senior editor in a major educational publishing company in the US. I used to teach French to U.S. college students and professors (for 12 years) and translated extensive documents for American professors in a major U.S. university (Purdue University in Indiana). I have a Ph.D. in the Humanities obtained at Purdue University, an M.A. from Purdue and one previously obtained in France (Institut d'anglais Charles V, Paris VII). Bilingualism is my specialty and I have dealt with many aspects of it for my entire life, having been raised in various countries besides France (Norway, Mauritius, Niger, the Philippines). I also lived in England for a year. I excel in and enjoy translation work. I have extensive experience in editing and copy-editing as well. You will find my work conscientious and accurate because I take pride in doing what I do well and strongly believe in attention to detail. I also believe in turning work in on time. Since I have a full time job, I will honestly gage whether or not I can fulfill the task, and if I deem it too challenging, will turn it down. I always give my best to what I commit to.
