I am an English mother tongue French-English translator and agency owner, based in the UK (London). I have been working as a translator and proofreader since graduating from the University of London Institute in Paris in 2005, where I obtained a degree in French Studies specialising in translation and comparative French-English studies. I have a wide range of experience in translation covering legal, business, marketing and journalistic texts amongst others. I translate documents from all over the French-speaking world, including France, Belgium, Switzerland, Gabon, Guinea and Algeria. I started my own translation agency at the beginning of 2013 in order to provide a more complete service to my ever-growing client base.

My recent translation/project management work includes: a children's book for publication, press releases for an African Head of State, articles on mining in West Africa, a country investment file, subtitles for a short film, marketing materials for a cosmetics company (multi-language), several presentations on work done by a charitable organisation in Africa, numerous marriage, divorce and birth certificates, a clinical study of a maternity ward, a large study on workplace lighting, several court summons, minutes from shareholders meetings for various companies, employment contracts and supply and purchase agreements.

I am not only fluent in French but I have an understanding of French culture from the 7 years I spent in Paris. This "biculturalism" means that not only am I able to produce accurate high-quality translations but I can competently adapt your documents for the English-speaking market. I continue to spend several months every year in France in order to keep up with current affairs and language developments. The quality of my written English is very high, due to both my experience as a translator and the English teaching positions I have occupied in the past.
