I am a freelance technical translator specialising in
patents and patent-related documents.
After 19 years working in university research and teaching
around the world, and then 6 years running my own consultancy business in the
UK, in 2006 I became a full-time translator.
I rapidly established a reputation for on-time, accurate
translation which continuesto bring me
regular, repeat business from a number of agencies.
Increasingly, over time, I have specialised in patent
translations and this now represents 90% of my business.
Born and raised in the UK, I worked for university Physics
departments in the UK, Germany, the USA and Denmark. I now live and work in
France. I have dual French-British nationality.
I spent 9 years doing postdoctoral research in Low
Temperature Physics and Engineering before switching to research in Biology and
Food Science.
I was a senior lecturer in Food Science and Technology for
several years before founding my own technical consulting company for the food
and refrigeration industries.
