I am an experienced translator with special focus on legal translations and business/financial documents. I am a native German speaker and I have an Austrian law degree. Living and working in the UK I am also very familiar with the Anglo-American legal system and idiosyncrasies.
I mostly translate commercial contracts, company statutes, general terms and conditions, patents and legal opinions, just to name a few. On the business side I am translating the business reports of various funds and private banks as well as the annual statements and balances of international companies.
That said I have also extensively worked with marketing and advertising texts. At the moment I oversee the final revision of the German websites of a leading UK fashion retailer and a major international social network.
I have also experience with localisation jobs in a branding environment and I have perfect understanding of the local cultures of the UK, Latin America (7 years in Argentina), France (2 years) and the German speaking countries.
My greatest assets are my research and writing skills, my desire for perfection, and my networking abilities. The result is accurate translations which flow as smoothly as the source texts.
