Tasks and responsibilities
Currently employed as a lawyer-linguist at the Court of Justice of the European Union.

Translation and revision of, inter alia, rulings of the Court of Justice, opinions of the advocates-general and preliminary requests of national courts from French, Italian, English, German and Polish into Dutch. Terminology research.

Areas of expertise: EU/international law, tax law, contract law, company law, economics & finance. Registered as a sworn translator at the District Courts of both Padua and The Hague (IT<>NL).

In a previous life, I was a freelance translator specialising in legal and financial translations. Clients, directly or via agencies, were mainly European institutions, Dutch and international law firms, and Luxembourg and Swiss banks and asset management companies.

I can rely on the extensive legal library of the CoJ EU, which includes reference works on national and European law, specific branches of law, national and international legislation, law reports, Treaties, bilingual and monolingual legal & financial dictionaries, etc., and my personal database containing the results of years of research and discussions with colleagues, lawyers and other specialists.
