I am a freelance translator working primarily in the language pair English into Greek and vice versa. I am a native speaker of both languages, as I was raised and
educated in both countries (English mother, Greek father). I graduated from Oxford University with a First Class Joint Honours Degree in Medieval and Modern Languages (French and Greek). In addition to translating subtitles and carrying out QC, I am able to work with or without a script, to spot and time cue. My recent education includes courses in AV Translation (National and Kapodistrian University of Athens) and specialising in subtitling (metafrasi translator training centre in Athens). I also specialise in legal translation in my work, having practiced as a solicitor (lawyer) in international law firms in London for 12 years (primarily in Dispute Resolution - Shipping and Fraud) and having completed a translation course specialising in legal translation (metafrasi translator training centre in Athens - Grade 20/20). In addition to the above, I gained experience in a range of industries during my career as a solicitor which supports my work in translation and subtitling.
