Bio
I’m a linguist by training, with a
Master’s degree in General Linguistics from Lund University, Sweden (2016) and
bachelor’s degrees in French,
Portuguese, English and Linguistics. I have been a compiler of etymologies, a freelance journalist, a musician, a HGV driver, etc. Since 2011 I have been studying and working as a linguist at Lund university, where I
have focused particularly on pragmatics and ‘information structure’ (IS), a secret weapon
of linguist-translators. I have experience in computer-aided translation (CAT),
including Trados, but above all I am experienced in using the internet itself
as a translator’s tool and corpus.
As well as translating, I like to work as a proofreader and 'proof-editor'.
