Canadian based in Rome, raised in a bilingual context (French and English), my written and spoken skills in Italian are considered to be very close to native.
I majored in Anthropology (with a minor in Economics) at McGill University in Montreal, where I was incidently awarded a tutorship for teaching French as a Second Language at McGill's FSL department.
For over 15 years, I have ensured in Italy, both written and spoken mediation services in French, English and Italian for a private firm in the cosmetics-parapharmaceutical industry where I discovered to have a predisposition for interpretation.
Wishing to develop a freelance activity as an interpreter and translator, in June 2012, I accredited my skills by acheiving a Master degree in Translation and Interpretation at SSML Gregorio VII University in Rome.
So far as a freelancer, I have had the honour and the privilege to interpret personalities of the calibre of:
Pope Francis (IT>FR)
Prof Luc Montagnier (EN>IT) - recipient of the Nobel Prize in Medicine
Maestro Ennio Moricone (IT>EN) - Italian composer and Acadamy Award Winner
Prof. Ettore Gotti Tedeschi (IT>EN) - Economist, former president of the Vatican Bank
