I graduated from the University of St Andrews in 2008 with an MA in Modern Languages (French, German, Italian) and went on to study for an MA in Interpreting and Translation at the University of Bath, graduating in 2010.
My interest and participation in athletics led me to assist with translation and interpreting services at several Diamond League athletics meets and I have also worked freelance as a translator following my graduation and part-time more recently.
Since September 2011 I have been working for a Big 4 accountancy firm, gaining qualifications in tax and accounting. I have worked in expatriate tax and had the opportunity to translate financial texts such as contracts, share certificates, payslips etc. I am now looking to pursue a career in translation and interpreting, specialising in financial and sports translation.
