Jon Reynolds Translations

I passed the IOL Diploma in Translation examination (German-English) in 2008.
Prior to that I gained an MA in French and German from the University of Cambridge in England.

I mainly specialise in translations related to the automotive industry,
having worked as an in-house contractor for a major German vehicle
maufacturer for 20 months. Translated texts included vehicle glovebox
manuals, technical specifications, legal contracts, commercial
documents, publicity material, marketing copy and press releases.

I also have substantial experience in tourism and travel
translation. I have translated countless hotel brochures and tourism
websites along with marketing materials on wine regions, cycle trails
and hiking holidays.

I have a background in the theatre, having also trained as an actor, so I can provide translation services in relation to arts and leisure.

I translated this art book from German into English (2010).

Every winter since 2012 I have translated press releases and publicity material relating to the winter sport of luge, more precisely the FIL Luge World Cups, World and European Championships, and the Olympic Games.

I am also an experienced video game translator, having worked on console releases and a massively multiplayer online role-playing game since 2009.
