Texte source - espagnol El ojo tiene un sistema óptico equivalente a una cámara fotográfica donde el lente más anterior equivale a la córnea, el lente interno al cristalino y la película fotográfica a la retina, cualquier alteración en la transparencia de estos medios afecta la visión.
La córnea constituye el elemento más importante del sistema óptico ocular.
La córnea es la primera lente transparente del ojo. Ocupa la parte anterior del globo ocular, con su zona más externa de forma elíptica y la más interna de forma circular, tiene un diámetro horizontal de 11.7 mm y un meridiano vertical algo menor debido a la intrusión del limbo. El vértice corneal tiene un radio de curvatura anterior de 7.8 mm, el espesor central es de 0.5 a 0.7 mm y la periferia de 0.7 a 1.1 mm.
La córnea también es una lente convergente de 43 dioptrías de poder refractivo, lo que le confiere 65 a 75% del poder de refracción axial del ojo, y esta función óptica es sólo posible si se mantiene la transparencia de la misma.
El recién nacido tiene muchas células endoteliales, estas células son las que mantienen transparente la córnea. 1. Transmisión de la luz. Que debe lograrse con la mínima distorsión y absorción de la luz.
2. Refracción. La principal interfase de refracción es la que existe entre el aire y la película lagrimal precorneal. Esta superficie debe de estar libre de imperfecciones para evitar distorsión de la imagen visual.
3. Protección. De la porción anterior del globo ocular.
Las funciones antes mencionadas han dado como resultado que la córnea sea un tejido avascular, cuyas necesidades metabólicas son satisfechas a través del humor acuoso, que proporciona a las células corneales la glucosa como fuente de energía, y el aporte de oxígeno que proviene en parte del humor acuoso, y principalmente del oxígeno atmosférico disuelto en la película lagrimal, así como una pequeña contribución periférica de los vasos límbicos.

Its metabolic requirements are fulfilled by the aqueous humour, which provides the corneal cells with glucose as a source of energy, and an oxygen supply that is partly produced by the aqueous humour, but mainly from atmospheric oxygen that has been dissolved in the tear film, as well as the small peripheral contribution from the limbal vessels.

Me Henri Leclerc se lève. A l'ancien président de la Ligue des droits de l'homme revient de plaider, en défense de Dominique de Villepin, l'irrecevabilité de la constitution de partie civile de Nicolas Sarkozy, au nom de l'inégalité des armes. "Je défends ici un homme, tout simplement, comme je l'ai fait si souvent, qui veut être jugé selon une procédure équitable. Le président de la République s'est engagé dans cette affaire avec une vigueur extrême. N'a-t-il pas promis de pendre les manipulateurs à un croc de boucher ?"
La voix s'assourdit : "Il n'est pas question ici de contester votre indépendance. D'ailleurs, la meilleure preuve que vous êtes indépendants, c'est que votre indépendance est garantie par le président de la République..." Il insiste : "Le monde nous regarde. Nous avons une procédure qui n'est pas normale. La justice est une balance et le prévenu Dominique de Villepin ne pèse pas du même poids sur le plateau que le président de la République."
A l'audience, Me Thierry Herzog "est" Nicolas Sarkozy. Autant dire que, pendant quatre semaines, l'avocat n'a pas le droit à l'erreur. Mais sur ce terrain juridique, il est à son aise. Son client, dit-il, est une "partie civile comme les autres" et ce droit lui a déjà été reconnu à trois reprises depuis son élection. Et, ajoute Me Herzog, "Je dirais au jeune confrère qu'est Villepin - pardon, à M. de Villepin -,et qui assiste sans doute pour la première fois à une audience correctionnelle, que les jugements, ici, sont motivés et que les juges ne peuvent fonder leur décision que sur les preuves qui leur sont rapportées. M. de Villepin, faites confiance à la justice !" La demande d'irrecevabilité est jointe au fond, le tribunal se prononcera lors de son jugement.
Mercredi 23 septembre, 3e jour – Lahoud et Gergorin, la chose et le gogo
La vérité de l'affaire Clearstream gît sans doute dans la relation nouée par deux personnalités tourmentées, qui offrent chacune un mélange détonant d'extrême intelligence et de profonde vulnérabilité et qui, aujourd'hui, se rejettent mutuellement la responsabilité de la falsification des listings.
On sait déjà comment les fichiers, extraits par Florian Bourges et copiés par le journaliste Denis Robert, arrivent en 2003, entre les mains d'Imad Lahoud. On sait aussi, par les expertises, que les listings falsifiés ont transité par les ordinateurs de Jean-Louis Gergorin et d'Imad Lahoud. On sait enfin que l'ex-vice-président exécutif d'EADS est le "corbeau" qui a fourni ces fichiers falsifiés au juge Van Ruymbeke. Mais on ne sait toujours pas qui a introduit les noms des personnalités sur ces fichiers.
Imad Lahoud est à la barre : "Je n'ai pas fabriqué les listings de Clearstream. Je ne connaissais rien à la défense, à l'affaire des frégates de Taïwan. L'expert, c'est Jean-Louis Gergorin. 95 % des personnes qui figurent dans les listings, je ne les connais pas. Je ne suis pas sa source. Moi, j'étais sa chose. Jean-Louis Gergorin était un homme très puissant, un patron très envahissant. Il débarquait tard le soir chez moi, virait presque ma femme, m'emmenait dans la cuisine, ouvrait les robinets et faisait couler l'eau pendant qu'il me parlait des attaques contre Lagardère. Il m'encerclait dans une sorte de jeux de secrets."
Il y a pourtant un nom qu'Imad Lahoud reconnaît avoir "recopié sur une feuille Excel", ou plutôt deux : Stéphane Bocsa et Paul de Nagy, le patronyme complet de Nicolas Sarkozy. "J'ai ajouté ce nom à la demande de Jean-Louis Gergorin. J'ai été sa petite main." "Où cela s'est-il passé ?", demande le président, Dominique Pauthe. "Au ministère de l'intérieur, dans le bureau d'Yves Bertrand (ex-patron des renseignements généraux)", répond-il. "Pourquoi M. Gergorin vous aurait-il emmené dans le bureau d'Yves Bertrand pour ajouter des noms ?", demande, incrédule, le président. "Pour me conditionner, m'amener dans une enceinte où je me sentirais en sécurité. On m'a demandé de le faire, je l'ai fait, je le regrette et je demande pardon."
Le président appelle Jean-Louis Gergorin. "Etes-vous celui qui a fourni les fichiers falsifiés à Imad Lahoud ?" "C'est totalement absurde, grotesque, répond Jean-Louis Gergorin. Imad Lahoud m'a dit qu'il avait hacké le système de Clearstream et que les informations qu'il nous donnait venaient de là. M. Lahoud est quelqu'un de très intelligent, de très doué. Lorsqu'il a commencé à me parler des fichiers Clearstream, il avait pour moi beaucoup de crédibilité. Je lui ai parlé de mes craintes d'une tentative de déstabilisation du groupe Lagardère, et c'est sans doute la plus mauvaise décision de ma vie. Mais c'était une obsession pour moi. Ce qui m'a intoxiqué, c'est que les fichiers Clearstream sont venus alimenter les suspicions que j'avais."
L'une des listes comporte les noms patronymiques de M. Sarkozy. "J'avais toujours pensé que les annuaires, les listes, ça pouvait être falsifié. Mais quand j'ai vu les transactions, ça m'a paru complètement convaincant. J'ai vu le nom de Nagy et Bocsa. Imad Lahoud m'a dit que c'était un réseau différent de celui des frégates. J'étais persuadé que les listes étaient authentiques. Voilà, et je n'arrivais pas à imaginer qu'Imad Lahoud se payait ma tête. J'ai été dupe, j'ai été un gogo."

It falls to the former president of the French League of Human Rights to defend the former French Prime Minister, Dominique de Villepin, by pleading inadmissibility of the plaintiff, Nicolas Sarkozy, on the grounds of inequality of power. “I am here, quite simply, to defend a man, as I have done so often, who wishes to be judged by a fair process. The President of the Republic has begun this case with extreme vehemence. Did he not vow to hang those involved from a butcher’s hook?”
His voice quietens: "I am not trying to cast doubt on your independence. Besides, the best form of proof that you are independent is that your independence is guaranteed by the President of the Republic himself…” He stresses: “The world is watching us. We have here a procedure which is not normal. The defendant, Dominque de Villepin, does not weigh the same on the scales of justice as the President of the Republic.”
At the hearing, Maître Thierry Herzog ‘is’ Nicolas Sarkozy. In other words, he has not been able to make a single mistake for four weeks. But in this legal domain he is on home ground. His client, he says, is a “civil plaintiff like any other" and this right has already been recognised on three occasions since his election. And, adds Maître Herzog, "I would say to my young colleague Villepin – sorry, Monsieur de Villepin - who is undoubtedly attending the High Court for the first time, that judgements here must be justified and that the judges can only base their decision on the evidence brought before them. Monsieur de Villepin, you can depend on the law!” The inadmissibility claim is added to the case and the Court will decide when it gives its verdict.
Wednesday 23rd September 2009, Day 3 – Lahoud and Gergorin, the Puppet and the Fool
The truth about the Clearstream affair undoubtedly lies in the relationship established between two troubled personalities, each offering an explosive concoction of extreme intelligence and profound vulnerability, who are, today, placing the blame of doctoring the lists on each other.
We already know how the files, elicited by Florian Bourges, a former auditor for Luxembourgian clearing house Clearstream, and copied by the journalist Denis Robert, came into the hands of computer specialist Imad Lahoud in 2003. We also know from expert analysis that the forged lists passed through the computers of both Imad Lahoud and senior defence executive, Jean-Louis Gergorin. Lastly, we know that Gergorin, who was also the former executive vice president of the European Aeronautic Defence and Space Company (EADS), is the ‘corbeau’ who anonymously provided French magistrate, Renaud Van Ruymbeke, with these forged files.
Imad Lahoud takes the stand: “I did not fabricate the Clearstream lists. I did not know anything about defence operations and the Taiwan frigates affair. Jean-Louis Gergorin is the expert. I do not know 95% of the people who appear on the lists. I am not his source, I was his puppet. Jean-Louis Gergorin was a very powerful man, a domineering boss. He would turn up at my house late at night, almost kicking my wife out of the house. He would take me into the kitchen, turn on the taps and leave the water running whilst he informed me about the onslaught against Lagardère . He encompassed me in a kind of secretive game."
There is, however, a name that Imad Lahoud admitted to have “copied onto an Excel spreadsheet”, or rather two: Stéphane Bocsa and Paul de Nagy, comprising the full surname of Nicolas Sarkozy. “I added this name at Jean-Louis Gergorin’s request. I was his right-hand man.” “Where did this happen?” asks the judge, Dominique Pauthe. “In the Interior Ministry, in the office of Yves Bertrand (former Director of General Intelligence)," he responds. "Why would Monsieur Gergorin take you to the office of Yves Bertrand to add the names?" the judge asks, incredulous. "To condition me, to take me to a place that would feel secure. He asked me to do it, I did it, I regret it and apologise for it.”
The judge calls Jean-Louis Gergorin to the stand. "Was it you who provided Imad Lahoud with the forged files?" “That is totally absurd and ridiculous,” responds Jean-Louis Gergorin. “Imad Lahoud told me that he had hacked Clearstream's system and that the information that we were given came from there. Monsieur Lahoud is a very intelligent and talented person. When he began to speak to me about the Clearstream files, he seemed, in my opinion, to have a lot of credibility. I told him of my fears for an attempt to destabilise the Lagardère group, and that was without a doubt the worst decision of my life. But it was an obsession for me. What enticed me was that the Clearstream files added to the suspicions that I had."
One of the lists includes the surnames of Monsieur Sarkozy. “I had always thought that the directories and lists could be falsified. But when I saw the transactions, it seemed completely convincing to me. I saw the names de Nagy and Bocsa. Imad Lahoud told me that it was a different network operating to that of the frigate sale. I was convinced that the lists were genuine. I never even considered that Imad Lahoud was not being sincere with me. I was duped, made to look a fool."
