The majority of the Company’s financial assets and liabilities are non-interest bearing.
As a result, the Company is not subject to significant amounts of risk due to fluctuations in the prevailing levels of market interest rates.
Any excess cash and cash equivalents are invested at short-term market interest rates.
The Company is exposed to daily cash redemptions of redeemable shares.
It therefore invests the majority of its assets in equities which can be readily disposed of.
The table below analyses the Company’s financial liabilities and net settled derivative financial liabilities into relevant maturity groupings based on the remaining
period at the balance sheet date to the contractual maturity date.
The amounts in the table are the contractual undiscounted cash flows.
Balances due within 12 months equal their carrying balances, as the impact of discounting is not significant.
No stated maturity
As at 30 September 2007 and 30 September 2006 the Company had no exposure to currency risks.
All the financial assets and liabilities of the Company are held at fair value on 30 September 2007.

Texte source - anglais General Motors is aware that some companies are marketing tools and equipment to support a myriad of engine crankcase and subsystem flushing procedures. These dedicated machines are in addition to many engine oil, cooling system, fuel system, A/C and steering system additives available to the consumer. GM Vehicles under normal usage do not require any additional procedures or additives beyond what is advised under the former Vehicle Maintenance Schedules or the current Simplified Maintenance Schedules. Do not confuse machines available from Kent-Moore/SPX that are designed to aid and accelerate the process of fluid changing with these flushing machines.
Engine Crankcase Flushing
General Motors Corporation does not endorse or recommend engine crankcase flushing for any of its gasoline engines. Analysis of some of the aftermarket materials used for crankcase flushing indicate incompatibility with GM engine components and the potential for damage to some engine seals and bearings. Damage to engine components resulting from crankcase flushing IS NOT COVERED under the terms of the New Vehicle Warranty.
