The first 19 years of my life were spent in Oregon, USA, where I acquired a bachelor's degree in German and French languages. I additionally worked in France as an English assistant before diving into translation in Germany. After becoming intimately acquainted with CAT tools and the translation workflow during my year-long full-time employment at Star Group GmbH, I ventured into the thrilling and constantly changing world of freelance translating, where I have remained since. Besides my eight years of translating experience, I also spent a three-year interlude in France studying conference interpretation and translation, while continuing my freelance work in part.

Particularly passionate about marketing texts, I thoroughly enjoy localizing websites and advertising campaigns, which is reflected in my experience. Nonetheless, I have covered a wide spectrum of domains and built up my knowledge and termbases, with special emphasis on automotive technology, power tools, the culinary arts, general medicine, and business administration, among others.
