In the contract for a Web site promotion/ monetization program the Partial Invalidity clause ends with:
"Si une ou plusieurs stipulations du présent contrat sont tenues pour non valides, ou déclarées telles en application d’une loi, d’un règlement ou à la suite d’une décision définitive d’une juridiction compétente, les autres stipulations garderont toute leur force et leur portée, sauf si l’économie du contrat en est bouleversée.
It's the last line "sauf si l'économie du contrat est bouleversée" brings me to you.

Economie can also mean structure (of a project for example-see Larousse) and I think this may fit in here. If a major clause if found to be invalid, this could affect the entire structure/efficiency of the contract.
