This term appears in a property loan agreement. I managed to find the following explanation on the web, but am stuck as to how to translate it into English. to translate it as assignment, the original would have to read "cession" or "transmission"; the French word "délégation" has the same meaning as it's English counterpart, namely the transfer for duties (here under the insurance contract)
