One might say 'burial', but I always think that sounds rather like layman's language...
Might also be 'underground power line installation' or 'installing power lines underground' or 'underground installation of power lines' (for example).

: However "laying of ... underground" also covers the case of replacement of pole-strung lines, i.e. I tend to see "installation" as première monte!

Thnx Alex! Yes, i felt he same, bu then the same could be said for 'laying'... I think 'burial' is about the only one that hints at the idea of putting undergounrd something that was once overhead... What say? I guess the standards'd be the same?
