Thank you for your comment, but as I have already mentioned, I did in fact ask the client, who confirmed that his mark sheet refers to the exams and not to the materials.

I would have serious doubts about "mid-term exam", which has strong overtones of a scholastic test! Note also that "résistance", when applied to a mechanical structure, invariably means "strength", although we do talk of "resistance" to bending or fatigue, for example.
I suspect "préliminaire" just means "first" or "initial", so there are 3 phases to the test: first when the concrete is "green", then later when the reaction is mostly complete, and finally much later when it has had a chance to gain full (or nearly full) strength after long exposure to the atmosphere.

yes, that is true! but another person send that "finale" in this context can also refer to the "ultimate" strength of the materials and therefore if she is correct, there would also be an "intermediate" and preliminary [tensile) strength.

The fact that the other subjects, such as structure mixte, mécanique des sols, construction mécanique are not followed by the words " intermédiaire" or "finale" leads me to wonder whether it is not about the exams. Even though the entire document is a grade sheet. But there is lack of google hits and a terrible lack of knowledge on my side as regards this subject...

It could possibly refer to épreuve finale, so your 'final exam' sounds right to me, in which case you could also have épreuves intermédiaires.
