How would one translate this? Any ideas anyone?
Keep "mes chéries" or use "my darlings" or "sweeties" or another term or endearment? Dormez bien, my darlings, ce qui voulait dire ???

Pourquoi pas délaisser le registre "gourmand" et adopter un tout autre registre dans lequel vous pourriez reproduire le jeu de mots ?
