anglais term
Her patience did not burn with the midnight oil she burned in the process

The source sentence requires adaptation...

Merriam Webster
.....burn the midnight oil : to work or study far into the night
Wordreference " I am not familiar with "burning" being used with "patience". I can see what he meant - that he was implying that his patience was something which can be damaged by certain things and that your questions were "burning" it (in a metaphorical sense) so that if the fire continues then he will have lost his patience (and will therefor be angry!). It is quite a good usage, but it is one that he appears to have made up (although it is a very creative usage of the word)."

Another suggestion. Typically in French, one either keeps their patience or loses it, so it is more appropriate to talk about it that way.
I also used an idiomatic expression to express "to overwork" so it would be closer to the source sentence, although "travailler comme un forçat" doesn't imply working late at night, but it can easily be adapted.
