(b) Rock Drilling Equipments and Tools
The Contractor shall submit to HT for approval, a method statement to identify the start of rock level based on the drilling machine and tools used at site.
If required trial drilling should be carried out and witness by HT’s representative.
The Contractor shall proposed and identified appropriate drilling machine and drilling tools for rock drilling at the project site in accordance with the job specification.
For drilling into and through rock, rock-drilling tools shall be applied.
These shall include rock augers, core barrels with round shank, stolen or roller bit and where necessary, chisels.
Chisels shall not be used for breaking the competent rock at the entire designed rock socket length.
