Is there an English > German glossary for website translations somewhere? Things like "Register here to receive our newsletter"?????

I don't know about glossaries like that, which, obviously, does not mean that there aren't any out there.
However, I'm quite sure that there's no "generic" translation for the example you mentioned. At first thought only, three possible translations for "register" come to my mind in this context, and none of them is *better* or *more correct* than the other.

I don't know about glossaries like that, which, obviously, does not mean that there aren't any out there.
However, I'm quite sure that there's no "generic" translation for the example you mentioned. At first thought only, three possible translations for "register" come to my mind in this context, and none of them is *better* or *more correct* than the other.

How to phrase your translation should be either determined by a global terminology list provided by the client or simply by using common sense.

For standard terms, and if no such terminology list exists, it's always a good idea to consult the MS glossaries.
