Hi,

Has anyone ever experienced the following error in MultiTerm iX when trying to create new filters: "An object with the same name and type already exists. Click OK and enter a new name."? Hi,

Has anyone ever experienced the following error in MultiTerm iX when trying to create new filters: "An object with the same name and type already exists. Click OK and enter a new name."? There are no naming conflicts, so I don't know what's going on. Changing the proposed name of the filter only re-triggers the error. Thus, creating new filters for all users (including admins and super) is blocked. Strangely, modifying filters is still available.

This is in a multi-user installation of MultiTerm iX 6.2.0.267; SQL 8 backend.

Thanks,
-Robert

Special characters in filters? Oct 19, 2004

Hi Robert,
Not a direct solution to your problem, but you may want to check for database objects (input models, filters, etc.) containing special characters (/,?,&, etc.). A colleague of mine had problems which were resolved by changing the 'offending' object accordingly.

Best regards,
Ralf
