Hi all,
I've just translated a Word file using TagEditor and when I'm trying to do "Save Target as" the following note appears: "Error while writing paragraphs".
I've done Generic Tag Verification (no errors with tags, only some spacing differences)
It seems that there is an error in the source file itself, bacause even if I translate first tag only, the same error appears when I try to save it as target file. How can I find the error in the source file?

Thanks for your reply, Gareth.
I have already tried that too. There are no section breaks (^b) in search results....
Still hoping to get some helpful tips and find the reason...
Magdalena

Error while writing paragraphs/document
Temporary solution:
Open the document in Word Save it as an *.rtf file with a different filename Close Word Re-open Word from the Start > Programs menu, do not double-click on the rtf file Open the new *.rtf file using File > Open Save it as a *.doc file with a different filename Translate the new *.doc file in TagEditor
Hope this helps...

Install Office 2007 Compatibility Pack
Aug 22, 2008
You can download it from the Microsoft page. After you installed this compatibility pack, you will be able to save a document in Word 2007 format from Word 2003. Now open your problematic document, save it as Word 2007, translate this one (it should convert without any problems, provided you DO NOT delete ANY tags), then open it in Word and save again as Word 2003.
In my case this was always helpful - for various errors
Regards Jerzy

I know this solution sounded a bit akward, but until now I haven't found any other solutions that are quicker/easier.
Anyway, I'm glad I could help.
Kind regards,
Kobe

I tried this solution. Trados does not give any error in saving the target file. But when I open the Word 2007 file, it is blank. Does any one have any experience with this?
