Italian term or phrase: Il comp
Ciao tutti -

I am translating a diploma where an abbreviation is used that I am not sure about.
"Il comp" followed by a signature.
I suspect it is a title, perhaps by a school official.

Any suggestions as to what "comp" might stand for?

Asker: Upon reflection I think it's actually "compilatore" which I would translate as "clerk." Does that seem right?
