Spanish term

facilitador de vida

Spanish to English Bus/Financial Business/Commerce (general)
In a survey on corporate responsibility, companies are asked if they offer certain facilities for employees:
"la empresa posee programas de conciliación vida personal y laboral (Guarderías, facilitadores de vida)" It sounds rather like "life coach" but I've never seen "facilitador de vida" as an equivalent for this. Can anyone help with this expression?

employee conveniences

Two points:
(1) Because the word "guarderías" occurs right next to "facilitadores de vida", I think they're talking about offering *things* here, not *people* (life coaches).
(2) Since this is a concrete benefit being offered, it might be best to use a short, official-sounding name like "employee conveniences" rather than a lengthier phrase ("things that make life easier").

Examples of "employee conveniences" mentioned as part of companies' benefits packages:

Some of the Employee Conveniences available on-site include:
* Postage Stamps
* Notary Public
* Training Library
* Workout Facility
* Showers and Lockers

Additional Employee Conveniences
* On-site ATM machine
* On-site dry cleaning services
* On-site travel agent
* On-site film drop-off services
* Discounted movie passes
* Cafeteria, partially subsidized by EMD Serono, Inc., serving breakfast and lunch, as well as take home dinners
* Convenience Store

The Cary headquarters also offers employee conveniences like onsite car detailing, massage, dry-cleaning pickup and delivery, and a hair salon.

agree MarinaM : yes, that's the idea! Or just 'facilities' as I propose

neutral liz askew : hmmm, interesting use of "conveniences"..made me think of public toilets. "Facilities" would be more usual in the UK.//Tee hee, yes I see :-)

Hmmm... you're right. Then again, UK is mirror image of US - where "facilities" can also mean toilets! http://www.google.com/search?num=100&hl=en&safe=off&q="use t... Probably best to avoid both!

conditions that improve employees' quality of life

Maybe "conditions" could be replaced with something else. Long-winded but think this is what it's saying. Seems to be topical at the moment, appears in El Pais article below (follow link).

I don't whether there's a one or two-word term for it, but this is what it means. It refers, for ex., to having an ATM on the premises of a company.

life coach

Por supuesto que tienes razón, se refieren a "life coach".
Peer comment(s):

neutral cmwilliams (X) : but in this context it's services/benefits rather than a person

but providing a life coach is a service/or benefit the companies provide, so I strongly feel it does apply

and (other) facilities

Creo que se trata de un calco del inglés; 'facilitadores de vida' no existe en español.
La empresa proveerá 'facilities', such as day care

facility
a service that an organization or a piece of equipment offers you; "a cell phone with internet facility"

facility
services and space and equipment provided for a particular purpose; "catering facilities"; "toilet facilities"

Quality of life perks

One of the hottest new trends in company perks is the concierge service. These services, which save employees valuable time by running errands and doing chores for them, often cost less than employers realize.
