ENGLISH VERSION
I was born on August 7, 1966 in Novi Sad. Back in 1985 I graduated from "Karlovacka gimnazija", a high school specialized in providing training for prospective translators. I ranked second out of a 100 candidates at the university entrance exam and went on to study English and German at the University of Novi Sad.
I worked for a while with the Novi Sad publishing house "Dnevnik". My job there, though, basically involved translating short crime-fiction stories.
Back in 1993 I took a turn at teaching English at a private foreign language school.
Then in 1994 my dream appeared to be coming true: I topped the list of 73 applicants who took to a written translation test conducted by one of the then five most renowned and creditable news agencies in the world - the Yugoslav news agency TANJUG. The principal examiner at the test and the main interviewer at the interview following the test was John Bosnich from Canada who happened to be working for the Yugoslav news agency at the time, and who has eventually made his name as a spokesperson for the former chess world champion, Bobby Fischer. Eventually, I landed a job and worked with TANJUG as a translator into English.
Subsequent to my stint in TANJUG, I held a similar position in a private Belgrade-based news agency where I have come into my own as a meticulous copy editor as well as a translator into English.
I have since tried in vain to land any job, let alone to find gainful employment, even though I have gained valuable experience along the way and can therefore be counted on to rise to the task of translating impeccably a host of different kinds of texts.
I translate texts related to ecology, astronomy, geopolitics, history, geography and linguistics from/into English and Serbo-Croatian. My ability to translate from either Serbo-Croatian or, for that matter, German into English emulates that of even the most seasoned of translators. I am just as good at translating from English into Serbo-Croatian as I happen to be competent for translating from Serbo-Croatian or German into English. I boast illustrious experience (that I have gained in a career spanning over two decades) which I routinely and fervently tap into.
I am fluent in English to such an extent that I can pass myself off as an American or Canadian and get away with it, due to my immaculate American accent. That can be put down to the fact that, as a teenager and student of English, I used to tune in to such short-wave radio stations as the Voice of America and Radio Canada International. I speak Hoch Deutsch just as fluently because I often tuned to Deutsche Welle and spent some time in Berlin.
I am well up on linguistics (I am somewhat of a polyglot), ecology, astronomy, history, geography, geopolitics. I am a subscriber to the Electronic Outreach and Stratfor reports; to BBC; I regularly get the so-called Daily Briefings from the Jewish Telegraphic Agency, weekly reports from the German weekly "Der Spiegel", which all provide me with an extensive, reliable and accurate insight into the world geopolitical and geo-strategic developments and predictions on what is likely or, for that matter, bound to come.
I also participate in the American Corner`s Conversation Club.

DEUTSCHE VERSION
