Когда мы делаем анастомоз такой маленькой вены, есть шанс (примерно 60-80%), что она вырастет, но 10-20% риска возникновения тромбоза в такой вене, все же, остается. Конечно, можно оставить эту тоненькую вену и думать, что она вырастет. Но в этом случае мы теряем 10-20% от успешного исхода операции.
Очень много зависит и от профессионализма самого хирурга, его опыта и умения точно соединять сосуды. С другой стороны может возникнуть ситуация, когда сосуды соединены профессионально и точно, но в момент закрытия брюшной полости можно не заметить, что артерия оказалась зажата между печенью и другим органом. Этого будет тоже достаточно для возникновения тромбоза. Имея огромный опыт работы в этой области, могу сказать, что большинство тромбозов возникают от недостаточного уровня владения хирургом мануальной техникой, а также внимательного отношения к сосудам во время операции.

We must as much as possible provide a solution to a particular problem before the operation. Finding a solution during surgery can cost a little patient life. The second stage is the operation itself. It must be carried out correctly. What does it mean? For example, when I see that a child has a very thin vein, during the operation I make it wider. Some surgeons do not do this and believe that it will grow over time. It's true. When we make an anastomosis of such a small vein, there is a chance (approximately 60-80%) that it will grow, but a 10-20% risk of thrombosis in such a vein, nevertheless, remains. Of course, you can leave this thin vein and think that it will grow. But in this case, we lose 10-20% of the successful outcome of the operation.
A lot depends on the professionalism of the surgeon himself, his experience and ability to accurately connect the vessels. On the other hand, a situation may arise when the vessels are connected professionally and accurately, but at the time of closure of the abdominal cavity, you may not notice that the artery was sandwiched between the liver and another organ. This will also be sufficient for the occurrence of thrombosis. And yet, most thromboses arise from an insufficient level of surgeon's manual technique.
