With my experience as a former attorney in the U.S., I translate official documents such birth, marriage certificates, or driver’s licesnses.. I'm also available to assist attorneys or law firms with contract or court pleading translations.
Likewise, in my 14 years in the IT field, as a technical writer and project manager, I've gained the inside knowledge necessary to translate the full range of documentation, from technical manuals to end-user instructions.
Growing up American and having lived in the French culture for several years provides me with the ideal perspective for assisting with website and software localization.
I’m also interested in doing literary translations, especially short stories and novels. To demonstrate the quality of my work in this area, I've translated the first few chapters of Marcel Pagnol's Jean de Florette, which I will provide on request. In that same vein, I'd also like to do subtitles for French films.
