I am based in Brisbane, Australia, working as a NAATI Certified French & Spanish to English legal translator, translating into my native language, British English.

Translation Experience:

• My specialist French legal translation experience ranges over contracts, employment, HR, family law, court judgments and property documentation.

• Additionally, I have been involved in translating projects from French into English related to mining feasibility studies, environmental and social impact assessments, internal business communications for large corporate entities and medical/health care documentation for charities and NGOs.
• My Spanish to English translations primarily serve clients who are hoping to migrate to Australia or study here.  These include all types of personal documents and legal translations, including import and export documentation between Australia and Latin America.
• I provide NAATI Certified French & Spanish to English translations for all official purposes in Australia.

Education and Background:

• LLB Honours degree in Law with French Law and French Language, which entailed studying at law schools in both the UK and France.
• Worked at 2 UK law firms in the fields of clinical negligence, commercial property and matrimonial law.
• Professionally translating since 2006 from French, and from Spanish since 2013.
• Two years' Translation Project Manager experience at the University of Queensland's Institute of Modern Languages.
• Three years serving on the AUSIT Queensland Branch Committee, including one year as Secretary of AUSIT Queensland, (2020-21), working to provide CPD and professional networking opportunities for all translators and interpreters within the state, alongside running my translation business.
• Numerous speaking and training engagements delivered to fellow T&I professionals, both within Queensland and nationally across Australia, including co-presenting on AcudocX, a new tech startup in the translation sphere, at the AUSIT 2020 National Conference with Dylan J Hartmann.
