I have been translating from French to English since 2003, and from Spanish to English since 2011. My strengths as a translator are my wide knowledge base and rigorous research methods. As a PhD candidate in Comparative Literature, I am familiar with the literary traditions of Chile, Argentina, Mexico, Martinique, and Spain, and have deep knowledge of Peruvian and French literature and culture. I teach introductory translation courses at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and have served as faculty for the Banff International Literary Translation Centre. 

My areas of expertise include literary translation (poetry, novels, short fiction, children's stories), cultural translation (archeology, tourism, arts and music), and medical translation (clinical trials and regulatory documents).
