Professional Experience

I have completed a bachelor in Science from Montreal University as well as a Major in East Asian Studies specializing on Chinese Language.

After living in Asia for more than 13 years, I have acquired a broad knowledge of localization issues as well as a keen understanding of Asian culture and ethics, mainly those related to China. Moreover, I have managed food related businesses in this country, gaining in the process a sound knowledge of the industry and a good understanding of China's business environment and practices in general.

My strengths are: attention to detail, consistency and accuracy in terminology usage. I am proficient with a host of tools and file formats and take particular care in avoiding errors and ambiguity. At every step of the job, I take due diligence to make sure words are used in an appropriate fashion.

I am thorough and precise when it comes to translation. I see any translation assignment as a personal challenge, a riddle of some sort, in which I strive to find the key to transpose ideas and meaning, form and content into a target language. I do this with passion, eagerness and most importantly, without any discrepancies. I find it a great way to make a living as it brings knowledge on a daily basis and keeps your brain exercising!
