Bio
I am a legal linguist and a legal translator, currently working as a lecturer in legal linguistics at the Faculty of Law, University of Lapland.

I received my MA in Germanic Philology with specialization in translation studies and law from the University of Helsinki, Finland, in 2007 and defended my LLD thesis in comparative legal linguistics at the University of Lapland, Finland, in June 2015. For my doctoral thesis I was awarded the 2015 prize for law and language - Förderpreis Recht und Sprache - by the University of Regensburg, Germany. As a result of the research I have conducted in the past ten years on the German and Finnish legal systems and legal languages, my primary language pair is German-Finnish.
