Language - the art of communication, the ability of expression - is my passion. Having grown up trilingual (English, German and Afrikaans) in South Africa where most people speak at least two languages, I learned at an early age the importance of communicating one's thoughts accurately. Translation became an important skill even at the early age of three when I helped my visiting German grandmother communicate with the domestic as they had no shared language to communicate with.

I have since had the great fortune of living in France where I learned the language and became aware of it's close interrelation with the culture - the French language is a beautiful reflection of the French way of life. Following this experience life's journey took me to Mexico where I lived, worked and studied for four years. After completing my Master's thesis in Spanish I began translating in earnest. I have since moved to Sweden and have now learned this fascinating language too.
