Aus der Produktbeschreibung für eine hochwertige Lampe, unter der Überschrift "Matériaux:"

Diffuseur: ABS peint et métal optique

ABS ist wohl die Abkürzung für "Acrylonitrile butadiène styrène" (dt.: Acrylnitril-Butadien-Styrol, ebenfalls mit ABS abgekürzt). Aber was ist "métal optique"? Im Deutschen scheint es den Begriff "optisches Metall" oder "lichtoptisches Metall" nicht zu geben. Scheint mir ein Fachbegriff zu sein, den ich aber leider noch nicht einmal in meinem Industrie- und Technik-Wörterbuch finde....

Hat jemand eine Idee? Wäre für jede Hilfe dankbar!

Accord  Schtroumpf: Kann auch eine metallisierte Oberfläche sein, wie du vorschlägst; die Bezeichnung métal optique wäre dann aber mehr als unglücklich.
