There isn't a lot of context I'm afraid, the document is a presentation regarding a partnership between various waste management companies.

The preceding sentence is: stages in the partnership between xxx and xxx:

contrats métiers avant 2005

contrat initial...en Janvier 2005...

'métier' is used elsewhere in the document in a way that implies 'sector' rather than 'profession'

Neutre  writeaway: why employment? an employment contract is a contrat de travail normally. can you back this with any refs that show it's the correct translation?

  -> You're right. It could be "Joint-venture agreement" due to a lot o companies involved as specified in the text of Asker.
Désaccord  Kim Metzger: Right, not an employment contract. A joint-venture agreement is "accord d'entreprise commune" but maybe a supply contract? Are we really 100% sure?
