Directory and profile badges

Badges help clients see at a glance what ProZ.com knows about a service provider. Each badge has one published rule, set out below. A badge is shown only when the rule is met, and it is removed when the rule stops being met. Badges are recalculated at least once a day.

Verified identity

Rule: ProZ.com staff have confirmed that the name on the profile is the person's real name.

How to earn it: Request identity verification from the Identity section of your account settings. If you change the name on your profile afterwards, the verification is removed.

Certified PRO

Rule: The member belongs to the ProZ.com Certified PRO Network, which is vetted by staff for translation quality and professional practice.

How to earn it: See the requirements and apply on the Certified PRO Network page.

N clients would work again

Rule: The number of different clients who left positive Willingness to Work Again feedback on the profile in the last three years. Only entries that have passed staff vetting count, and each client counts once. Shown from one client.

How to earn it: Ask clients you have worked with to leave feedback from the Willingness to Work Again page.

Bids within 24 hours

Rule: Half or more of the member's quotes on ProZ.com job postings in the last 90 days were sent within 24 hours of the job becoming visible to them. At least three quotes are needed. The clock starts when the member could see the job, so members-first viewing time is not counted against non-members. This measures quotes on job postings only, not replies to direct messages.

How to earn it: Quote on job postings that match your pairs and fields soon after they appear. Job notification settings are on your dashboard.

Badges and directory order

Badges do not change the order of directory results. If they are ever used in ordering, this page will be updated to say how before the change is made.
