English term

capital crime

English to Danish Other Law (general)
I am a bit confused here - it would ordinarily be "alvorlig forbrydelse strafbar med døden" - but since we don't have the death penalty in Europe - how should it be translated in the following context?

Susanne Stotz is Assistant to the National Member for Germany. Since 1999 she has been working for the German judiciary in Bavaria where she started as a prosecutor. After four years in the department for economic and financial crime she became in 2003 a judge as member of a jury court for capital crime. Being located in the north-east of Bavaria close to Eastern European countries she got in contact with mutual legal assistance cases and bilateral cooperation particularly with Czech colleagues. Since January 2005 she is working for the German desk at Eurojust.

alvorlig forbrydelse

Obviously, in this case 'capital crime' is a translation of the German 'Kapitalverbrechen' (Bavaria) - and this is what my answer relates to
