Discussion

Simon Sobrero Dec 19, 2023:
The query title/search term should only be "DDP" Unless we have some context to show otherwise, all I see for sure is "DDP". The rest could mislead, even if asker says "deffo" ("definitely"). Thanks.
Paul O'Brien (asker) Dec 16, 2023:
It's Deffo Provincial, Phil.
philgoddard Dec 16, 2023:
We've had a few questions about 'deliberativo', but only one with a similar context, which simply omits it from the translation. I think it must have a specific meaning, but I'm not sure what. You could just say 'deliberative', though that's a bit of a copout.
The decree appears to have been issued by the president of a regional or provincial council, but I haven't found it.

neutral philgoddard : I think 'resolution decree' sounds odd - surely it has to be one or the other.

Regional Council President's Consultative Decree (Order Post-Public Consultation)

How 'decreto presidenziale' differs from an 'ordinanza del prefetto' : 'Ordinance by a (School?) Prefect', Garzanti (my take: Regional Commissioner's Order', I am not quite sure despite Roman historical echoes, but Presidential connotes to a US-type Non-Executive Order, i.e. one passed following discussion, delberation and resultion.

Perchance written in initial caps for such a hallowed 'Statutory Instrument'.

ut Presidential connotes to *me*...
Example sentence:

The Italian Minister of Economy and Finance has released a draft ministerial decree for public consultation aimed at implementing provisions in the Italian consolidated income tax code (ITC) that introduced the Investment Management Exemption regime.

Decreto Deliberativo Presidenziale. DPP, Decreto del Presidente della Provincia. DCP, Delibera Consiglio Provinciale. DGP, Delibera Giunta Provinciale.

Peer comment(s):

neutral philgoddard : I'm not clear where you get 'regional' from (your second example sentence suggests provincial), or public consultation. Your first reference, the previous ProZ question, has a completely different answer to your own.
