Discussion

Domini Lucas Oct 23, 2018:
@Monica re your note I totally agree that some schools still call it RE and that it has been the case for years until recently. However my husband is a teacher and his school has been calling it Philosophy and Theology (PT) for a while. Including at GCSE and A’Level. Was new to me, despite my Chaplaincy experience. But there it is. My note about what atheists and humanists believe was linked to your comment about “learning about religion to become a full person”. This was purely because it might have been relevant to “Formacion Humana” in the asker’s question depending on the wider context. Sorry if that was not previously clear. On reflection my wording may have been too personal because I do believe.
Domini Lucas Sep 13, 2018:
re Religious Education Some UK schools teach “Philosophy-Theology” GCSE and A’Level now instead of “RE”.
Domini Lucas Sep 13, 2018:
@asker Is it a secualr or religious establishment please? I have found slightly different ‘subject’ descriptions in different contexts. And age group would be helpful if you have it.

Personal and Religious Development

I think that this sounds at least somewhat natural in English. Any attempt at a literal translation here will, I fear, engender monstrisities.

“Integral” is something of a fluffy word here that can safely be dispensed with in the translation.

RE

Religious Education.

This is the name given to this subject in the UK. I know the answer sounds like I'm ignoring the "Integral Humana" part of the question/phrase. However, the idea is that students learn about religion in order to become a "full person".

neutral Domini Lucas : yes, for those of us who believe. And if a religious institution. But atheists and humanists would contest that. Especially if it is a secular school/foundation.

Citizenship and Religious Education

This would be a good option for a UK audience.
The secondary curriculum in Britain also includes PSHE - personal, social & health education
Example sentence:

A high-quality citizenship education helps to provide pupils with knowledge, skills and understanding to prepare them to play a full and active part in society. In particular, citizenship education should foster pupils’ keen awareness and understanding
