The term tram has its roots in tramway, a term from the mining industry for almost any kind of construction for moving mined materials from a pit or colliery - not necessarily on rails or with wheeled tubs - for instance, an aerial tramway has suspended buckets.

The belt conveyor here appears to be broken down into individual segments, each with its own belt conveying system = Fördersegment, Fördereinheit or Förderarm or, possibly Förderstrecke - which could unfortunately be confused with the haulage road leading from a coal face in a colliery.

Just a thought:

If this is a large scale plant, say for unloading bulk stone or ore, the various segments of the conveyor could be mounted on "trams" - wheeled or tracked units that run on rails or concrete ways - for moving the segments to appropriate loading or unloading positions.

In this case, "tram" could possibly be translated as "Fahrgestell" or "Wagen".
