Thanks Philippa and Matthew. You're right, it's a stab in the dark. So much so that the client has now come back to me with the suggestion that I replace it with "suivi des indicateurs" ??!! I'm going to close this question when allowed, but thanks for your input. I'd still love to know!

Hi Vicky, this is a very tricky one. I'm thinking the "ticket" must be sales slips/receipts, so maybe it means that the manager accompanies staff on rounds to collect sales slips from the tills: "sales receipt collection"??? Groping in the dark, but hope it helps!
