es geht um ein Vertriebstool, das Geschäftspartnern helfen soll, gezieltere und effektivere Kundengespräche zu führen. Zum Beispiel hilft es dem GP, dem Kunden die für ihn bestmögliche Lösung vorzuschlagen, d.h. die Lösung, die seinen Anforderungen gerecht wird.

The Challenge
It is difficult for business partners and field personnel to deal with the vast range of technology options available. Knowing which products address the customer’s business requirements is challenging. This problem is even larger for Business Partners who do not have the time nor the resources to invest in understanding the company xyz product portfolio. Even when someone understands the products, it is still difficult to understand how this technology maps to business requirements. In addition, there are often different technologies from xyz that can address one particular problem, which of those options would best fulfill the requirements.

***The Rationale***
The answer is the xyz Consultant Tool. The Consultant Tool guides the user through the analysis of business requirements and then recommends technology that best fits these requirements. Rather than leaving the field consultant on their own, the tool takes a prescriptive approach to help drive them towards the right solution.

The tool takes as input the customer’s business requirements and their current IT environment. The customer’s current IT environment, the hardware and software that they currently have and need to integrate into the new solution. Based on the combination of business requirements and the touch points with existing systems, the tool can identify the right solution. This solution is defined in terms of several aspects:
(1) The products I should use. What should I deploy?
(2) The architecture to use. How would this all fit together?
(3) Guidance for implementing the solution. How would I build this for a customer if they signed a contract? How much should I bid in terms of billable hours?
