I’m not fond of social networks, so I have no account on any of them. I do have an account on LinkedIn (a very incomplete profile), but they claim to be a professional network not a social one… | | | None, of course! | Jan 27, 2022 |
None, they're all a waste of time, especially when it comes to professional purposes.
I find LinkedIn the most useful to market my services. I get replies and contacted by companies and professionals regarding my services. However, I am also present on Twitter and Facebook and I find those better for networking with colleagues, keeping up with industry trends and news and such. I have never got a lead from those two really, so I focus most of my efforts on LinkedIn, which has proved useful for me in the last few years.

From those options perhaps Linkedin, but my best clients have usually arrived via e-mail after reading my Proz profile. Even though Proz is not precisely a social network, it works smoothly.

I use both LinkedIn and Instagram. The first for networking purposes, the second to find direct clients. But none of them work as well as good old e-mail marketing.
I have an account on LinkedIn and I've occasionally got work from there (by "occasionally, I mean about twice in ten years), but to say I use it "to market my services" would be a gross overstatement. I decided years ago to steer clear of Facebook, Twitter, etc., and I've never regretted that decision. So I put "None". | | | Kay Denney France Local time: 16:40 French to English
I only use LinkedIn and I've garnered more clients that way than any other. While working at the agency, I made sure to add all the colleagues who left to work elsewhere. Then when I started freelancing I contacted them all to let them know. A lot were working at other agencies and immediately sent me work. I also reached out to all my favourite clients from the agency and have had work from several of them. One agency client, who I hadn't found on LinkedIn, actually created an account after goo... One agency client, who I hadn't found on LinkedIn, actually created an account after googling me and seeing I had an account there, just so she could ask me to work for her. She had noticed a dip in quality after I left... Then there are various people who've found me via my profile: a handful of private clients, and an agency who sends me really interesting stuff. ▲ Collapse

different social networks | May 14, 2022 |
I use different social networks, but most often, Facebook. With the help of SMM, you can increase sales and increase audience loyalty. I tried LinkedIn briefly, but was horrified to discover that the app accessed my address book and sent spam to my contacts. I deleted my page. I had a Facebook account that I opened to keep track of activities related to celebrations of 50th anniversary of my high school graduation. I stopped using Facebook Social media, particularly LinkedIn, might have been useful early in my career. Apparently there are pages that could be of use to translators, such as discussions of deadbeat customers, but at this juncture, I don't care. ▲ Collapse | | | To report site rules violations or get help, contact a site moderator: You can also contact site staff by submitting a support request » Poll: Which social networking sites do you so to market your services?
