languette ? C'est ce qui me vient à l'esprit mais je n'ai trouvé aucune confirmation, c'est juste le terme qu'utiliserait un français pour une bande de prolongation d'un rectangle, par exemple pour coller les faces entre elles:

In a forum discussion (https://community.plm.automation.siemens.com/t5/Solid-Edge-F... it is said that a lip is a collection of faces.

Yes kind of ...but i don't think Onglet is the term used in 3D modeling. It is more a Microsoft terminology
david henrion Jun 28, 2016:
A kind of "tab". Un onglet ? !
veroniquehasson (asker) Jun 28, 2016:
Lip is an expression i found in 3D modeler softwares like AutoCAD, AutoDesk, Solid Edge ...
veroniquehasson (asker) Jun 28, 2016:
Let's say you have a basic drawing : a rectangle.
In 3D modeling you can edit this basic shape with several options: you can chamfer a corner, make a hole in the middle and you can also add a lip to one of the side of the rectangle, that is an extension on the drawing with also a rectangular shape or a square shape. As a result, you will have a big rectangle and a small rectangle (the lip) added on one of its side. I would have load a picture with a drawing but i didn't manage to do so...

Hi,
Too little context to help. What do you mean by "extension"? caption?
