Given some of the documents I get, the patron saint of lost causes would seem appropriate.

I plead complete ignorance about the world of Star Wars, but I have now looked up the link you posted and have tried to work on whittling down my ignorance somewhat. For some reason, I never developed any taste for these space sagas, which are too far-removed from reality for me to be able to relate to. When I was younger, I did used to watch the Star Trek series and I can recall to mind Captain Spocks with his pointed ears who could I think speak many tongues, correct me if I am wrong.

From my training as a translator, and as a Roman Catholic, I believe the patron saint for translators is St Jerome
