acquise au plein de garantie

French to English Bus/Financial Insurance Insurance audit report
- Couverture non sous-limitée et acquise au plein de garantie par site.
- Frais et Pertes acquis sans sous-limitation particulière au plein de garantie par site.
- L’absence de sous-limitation sur certains postes principaux vous les fait finalement couvrir « au plein de garantie » :
Recours de Voisins et des Tiers, Frais et Pertes…etc,

Hi all,

The context is an audit on a manufacturer's insurance policies (do they have sufficient cover/too much cover/the right cover for their particular business etc.

I know that "au plein de" is in the glossary, however, the specific sentence doesn't help with my comprehension of the above. There are a number of examples in the text that I want to double check. Does it simply purchasing full cover (for each site - possibly when they don't need it)?

Thanks in advance
David

It means "full policy sum insured applies to each site". In other words, if there are four sites, it's not the case that each site gets one quarter of the cover.

My version is shorter because the first half of the sentence basically means the same as the second, and "couverture" is the same as "garantie".

If you wanted to stay closer to the French, you could say: "No sublimits: full sum insured applies to each site".
