French to English Tech/Engineering Energy / Power Generation

Hi. I'm having some trouble finding the UK equivalent for this term. I don't have any context in my source (besides indicating that "effacement tarifaire" is an optional setting on a home automation device).
I have found some sources on the Internet explaining the term in French, though the English translation still eludes me. I've found the term translated as "demand response", but after looking into that expression the definitions don't seem to match. Although it's possible I'm misunderstanding the French.
