HAVE YOU HEARD about the new Union for Translators and Interpreters in Victoria?
Since October 2011, APESMA has been working closely with Translators and Interpreters in Victoria to improve their industry and their working lives.
For far too long, translators and interpreters have had to tolerate eroding pay rates, poor working conditions and inadequate respect for the important work they do. This needs to change and we need your support.
YOU ARE INVITED to APESMA's next public meeting, where you can: · Meet with others like you who work as translators or interpreters · Show you care about the TI industry and those who use it · Share your experiences · Discuss issues that concern you · Ask questions and get answers · Find out about the important campaign to improve your industry and how you can be part of it
Public Meeting 7pm - 8:30pm Thu 28 June 2012 Migrant Resource Centre 45 Main Road West, St Albans
(Light refreshments provided)
Translators and interpreters deserve to be treated fairly and with respect. Your views are important and your union APESMA is listening. We hope you can join us at the meeting.
Everyone is welcome. Bring a colleague!
